Frequently Asked Questions

How Do You Operate?

1.After you make contact with us we will arrange an initial meeting of up to an hour and a half which is charged at a fixed rate.

 

2.Prior to this you will be emailed a Preliminary Contact Form with basic questions about your child and his or her individual situation.  We ask you to send this back prior to our meeting as this provides the starting point for our discussion.

 

3.The meeting will be followed up by a summary email. If you wish to proceed working with us we will give you a broad estimate based on the information provided, the type and extent of work required and our hourly rate.

What Services Do You Provide?

We provide an individual service on the basis of each child’s needs.  Please see our Services page for details.

What Do You Charge?

There is a fixed fee for the initial meeting and thereafter an hourly rate is charged. Please note that if travel is required to the meeting this will be charged at half the hourly rate.

How Do You Charge?

Payment should be transferred before the initial meeting by bank transfer. Details on application.

Where Are You Based?

Alison sees clients either at her home office in West London or at a location convenient to her clients.  She also consults for clients by email, telephone and Skype.

Are You A Practising Lawyer?

Alison is a qualified lawyer but does not hold a current practising certificate. This means that she is not holding herself out as a lawyer for the purpose of Alison Pope Advisory. She provides advice based on professional and personal experience in the fields of special educational and extra learning needs.
